Our Night at the Opera was an exquisite celebration of music, fine hospitality, and cherished moments, set in the warm and luxurious surroundings of our Grade II listed care home.As guests arrived, they were greeted with a glass of chilled prosecco, setting the tone for an evening of refined indulgence. The soft melodies of a live pianist, johnny,  created an ambiance of sophistication, while the glow of candlelight and the cosy charm of our home made everyone feel at ease.The highlight of the evening was a captivating performance by a talented opera singer, miranda,  whose powerful and emotive voice transported everyone to another world. Residents and their loved ones sat in awe, soaking in the beauty of each note, while others hummed along to familiar arias.Throughout the evening, trays of hot hors d'oeuvres were served, offering a delightful selection of elegant bites to complement the music. Residents, families, and friends gathered in our magnificent Great Hall for a night of music, laughter, and timeless entertainment. The evening’s star performer, Tom Powell, delivered a stunning tribute to the golden age of swing, captivating the audience with his renditions of classics by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. His smooth vocals and charismatic presence transported everyone to the iconic era of the Rat Pack. Guests were treated to a selection of delicious canapés and sipped on chilled prosecco, creating a sophisticated ambiance to complement the evening’s theme. It was heart-warming to see residents tapping their feet, clapping along, and even joining in for a singalong to their favourite hits.
