I joined The Hall as a resident 4 years ago. I originally came for respite but I am now a permanent resident living in a stunning apartment within Nunthorpe Hall. I love the 24 hour outstanding care, the friendships I have with both other residents and members of staff and the delicious home cooked meals from Rob, the chef. I am thoroughly enjoying my retirement and I cannot fault The Hall.

I moved into Nunthorpe Hall as I have fond memories of when my Mum was a resident here. I have always enjoyed the best things in life and I feel that Nunthorpe Hall is a continuation of this. My room is exquisite. I enjoy walking and I am free to do this within The Hall. I have my own life but I also have superb 24 hour support.

Nunthorpe Hall is a very well run, prestigious home with beautiful grounds we could enjoy. The staff are very attentive, caring and welcoming for residents, families and friends. It is a very safe and happy environment.

My father never wanted to go into a care home, and I have to admit that I shared his reservations. Eventually it was unsafe for my father to remain at home and he became a resident at Nunthorpe Hall. Despite my initial worries he loved living there from the very first day, and in hindsight I wish we had made the decision for him to go there much sooner.

His world at home was shrinking and unsafe, but at Nunthorpe Hall he had people around him all the time. He took part in the activities and enjoyed the regular entertainment, and above all he was safe and happy.

The staff could not have been kinder, and they gave me my dad back – I became his daughter again as opposed to his carer, and for that I cannot thank them enough.
